Reporting a shared quiz
Quizzes in Reteva can be shared with a short code, so some of what you see may have been made by another person. If a shared quiz is inaccurate, offensive, contains copyrighted material, or contains private information about somebody:
- In the app: open the quiz, choose Report, and pick the reason. Reported shares are reviewed and can be disabled.
- By email: write to the address above with the share code. Include the code — without it we cannot find the quiz.
Reports do not identify you to the person who created the quiz. If you are a rights holder asking for copyrighted material to be taken down, say so in the message and include the code.
Common problems
Generating questions failed
- “Please try again later.” Reteva is busy or you have generated a lot today. Wait and try again — nothing was lost and nothing was charged.
- The PDF is refused. Reteva accepts PDFs up to 20 MB and 200 pages, and you can select up to 50 pages at a time. Split a larger document into chapters.
- The document could not be read. Scanned pages with no text layer give the model nothing to work from. A PDF exported from slides or a word processor works best.
- Fewer questions than you expected. Reteva only writes questions a page actually supports, so a short or sparse selection produces fewer. That is deliberate.
Purchases
- Restore Purchases: open the subscription screen and tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple ID you bought with.
- New phone, or reinstalled: your subscription follows your Apple ID. Restore purchases, and your studying is restored from the device backup if you have one.
- Cancel or change plan: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Reteva. The app links there from Settings. Cancelling stops renewal; you keep access until the paid period ends.
- Refunds: Apple handles these. Use reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Charged but still locked: tap Restore purchases first. If it is still locked, email us — include the date of purchase, not your card details.
Notifications
- Reminders are scheduled by the app on your phone. If they stop, check iPhone Settings → Notifications → Reteva.
- Change how often Reteva reminds you in the app’s notification settings.
- Reminders do not come from a server, so they will not arrive for a phone that has been off.
Sharing
- Share codes expire 14 days after they are last opened.
- You can revoke a quiz you shared from the device that created it. Revoking stops anybody importing it again.
- Deleting a quiz you imported removes it from your device and does not affect anybody else’s copy.
Privacy requests
- Your questions, answers and progress are on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them; we never had a copy.
- To ask about or delete something on Reteva’s server — a shared quiz, a report, a feedback message — email us. Include the share code where there is one; there are no accounts, so that is how we find the record.
- What is held, and for how long, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Sending feedback from inside the app
Settings → Send feedback. The message, the category, your device identifier and — only if you type one — your email address reach the Reteva team. If you want a reply, include your email: there is no account to write back to otherwise.
